Founded by Angelique C. Kamsteeg, VIAS is a research-led design studio crafting timeless spaces that honour the past while embracing modern sensibilities. Rooted in architectural traditions and cultural narratives, we shape environments that evoke emotion, inspire connection, and tell a story.

From luxury residences to boutique hotels, our designs are deeply informed by the unique essence of each site. We integrate local construction knowledge, artisanal craftsmanship, ambient light, and bespoke furnishings to create spaces where the textures of time meet contemporary elegance.

Cultural Heritage

With a foundation in the design traditions of Italy and The Netherlands, Angelique´s approach to restoration is to create a dialogue between the past with the present, where time becomes a visible layer and craftsmanship celebrates the beauty of imperfection.

In the Caribbean, she draws on the natural elements of land, wind, and light to create functional, sustainable spaces that respect local principles and modern needs. Her focus is on designing environments that are authentic, practical, and deeply connected to their surroundings.
